About the Creator of TUC

Michael Metzler developed the concept of The Utility Connection Website and authored its content for many years. A native of Kansas, Mike Metzler grew up at Lake of the Forest, Kansas, where he belonged to Sigma Nu Fraternity. In 1966, Mike joined Black & Veatch Consulting Engineering Company and remained with the company for 35 years.

He lived at Lake Quivera, Kansas until 10 years ago when he developed the Management Consulting Division of the SE Regional office of Black & Veatch and became the Regional Manager of the Orlando office. Mike was a registered professional engineer in several states. He was a Paul Harris Fellow of Kissimmee Rotary and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Kissimmee, Florida.

Mike set the standard as the founder of the #1 Internet resource for the utility industry, The Utility Connection, a world-wide web site.
